How screwed am I? - Non-target UC

Long story short.

Started out at a non-target UC in engineering, decided to switch into business my third year (mainly because i was not motivated enough due to lack of interest).

Graduated half way through 5th (march of 2012) with a nearly perfect business major GPA. Cumulative gpa around 3.2, crappy from engineering, very strong uptrend obvi.

Studied abroad at LSE, took 2 legit classes, 4.0. However this is when I should have had a full time summer internship. (between 4th and 5th year)

Had 1 legit internship during the year my fourth year, two bullshit ones.

Currently an investment analyst intern at a pension fund, looking for full time in SF. Taking level CFA level 1 in 6 days. expect to pass.

After the exam i plan to start looking for full time jobs in SF. I think i have a pretty good story about switching from engineering to business but I am worried about my job prospects with the timing of my job search and lack of proper networking ahead of time, and plus im a fifth year... What do you guys think?

your internship at a pension fund should be decent man. See if you can jump to investment research, buyside or sellside.

Being a 5th year is understandable since you had to switch from science to business - just have a good explanation.

Plus you have 4 internships. 2 are BS, but even the competitive ivy leaguers have BS internships. Except they figure out a way to sell it.

You should be competitive if you play your cards right. Look as polished as possible and find someone to push your CV.
