literature for valuation

Hello!

I am a second year undergraduate and would like to educate myself in how to value businesses. Therefore I am looking for some literature - ideally something that is rather "applicable". From those mentioned in other threads, I ended up with chosing between Rosenbaum and Pearls Investment Banking and McKinseys Valuation. Can you recommend one over the other for someone who is not yet sure if he would like to work in IB, corporate finance, or management consulting?

In addition, is it actually - e.g. in case of McKinseys book with 850 pages - the right approach to try to summarize and absorb the knowledge of one of these books, or will one rarely make use of the content? I have this thought like "if I manage read and internalize the knowledge of book x, I will be ahead in future internships". However, I am not sure if that is a fallacy, as that actually was never the case for the literature provided in my courses.

Looking forward for some tips, regards!
