LIVING ON YOUR OWN

BAD ROOMMATES, Loud neighbors, lousy neighborhoods, crooked landlords.....what's the worst that's happened to you? Having a larger than average paycheck than most entry level jobs helps move to a better place and take the sting out of living on your own for the first time, but things still go wrong.

Care to share some horror stories / funny stories about your first experience moving out and living on your own for the first time?

There really aren't any horror stories associated with this. The autonomy, freedom to do what you want who you want when you want how you want -- there's really nothing like it. Downside is not having your bros there 24/7 so it's not for everyone, there's many who just cannot be by themselves (example--large family, 3 roomates in college, 4-6 roomates post college, roomates during grad school).

I moved out on my own immediately after high school and never looked back.

I have had 2 roommates since then. Both had the same problem, a fucking girl friend. They basically lived there and ate all my food. I finally got fed up with it and damanded some damn rent/grocery money. My second roommate had an alcoholic girlfriend. One day my girlfriend and I bought a half gallon of taquila for margeritas. The next day his girl drank the whole fucking half gallon! I forgot to add, she weighed maybe 100 pounds! I was pissed!
