West Los Angeles area: preferably Sawtelle and surrounding area. My budget <=$2,000 Starting lease July

Just graduated from USC and got a full time offer in LA. Will prob be working a ton of hours so won’t be around much during the week but I keep everything clean. Also very outgoing, into sports and outdoors

Based on the WSO threads, finding roommates in LA, especially in areas like Sawtelle, can be quite challenging due to high demand and relatively high rent prices. Given your budget of up to $2,000, you might be able to find a suitable living situation, but it's important to start your search early. Here are some tips and considerations:

  1. Budget Appropriately: Your budget of $2,000 should be sufficient for a shared living situation in West Los Angeles. However, be prepared for variations depending on the exact location and the amenities offered.

  2. Utilize Online Platforms: Platforms like Wall Street Oasis, Craigslist, and Facebook groups dedicated to housing in LA can be valuable resources. Make sure to post your requirements and also respond to listings that fit your criteria.

  3. Be Clear About Your Lifestyle: Since you mentioned being very outgoing and into sports and outdoors, it might be beneficial to look for roommates with similar interests. This can enhance compatibility and ensure a smoother shared living experience.

  4. Prepare for High Work Hours: Given that you will be working a ton of hours, communicate this to potential roommates. This will set expectations regarding your availability and presence at home.

  5. Tour the Area: If possible, visit Sawtelle and surrounding areas to get a feel for the neighborhood. This can also help you determine if the area meets your personal and professional needs.

  6. Networking: Don't underestimate the power of networking. Reach out to USC alumni groups or professional networks in LA. Sometimes, connections through these networks can lead to roommate opportunities or housing leads that are not publicly listed.

Starting your search early and being proactive in your approach will increase your chances of finding a suitable living arrangement that meets your needs and budget.

Hey! Are you still looking for roommates? I’m moving out to LA beginning July (Century City) to start my analyst program. Lmk!

Apparently reached daily limit for PMs, so I'll just dump this stuff here... About me: 24 years old (took 2 gap years out of high school to pursue semi pro sports). Currently live in Canada (where I did my undergrad) but got my dual. Love to ski, surf, and fish. Played football, lacrosse, soccer, hockey, and skiing growing up so quite into sports in general.
