Move to Washington state instead of Denver?
Went to Vancouver years ago and absolutely loved it but I remember it being quite grey and rainy at times. Curious if the Seattle, Tacoma, Olympia area is going to be the same weather situation as Vancouver in terms of greyness and rain?
Trying to decide if Washington will be more beautiful than Denver.
Thx
No no no!
9/12 months it’s rain. The other 3 months are absolutely gorgeous and beautiful if you are a hiker. Best state ever for hiking.
Denver has hotter weather but also has some annoying snow. Overall, I’d choose Denver ( be aware of a state tax there tho).
If you are a hiker and rainy weather is fine by you and your comp is higher in Seattle then choose Seattle.
But man, from December to June you will be miserable.
Really eh? Is it truly that grey and depressing? All the water and greenery looks so amazing. I thought from a business perspective more might be going on in Seattle as it is also a quick flight down to SF.
Well, it looks so freaking amazing during summer. But winter is just awful. You get 0 sunny days for months on end. Lived there for 3 years and honestly called it quits. But summers, oh man, it’s the best
Also, food in Seattle is the best. If you’ve lived in Vancouver you know. Denver is not even close to that food quality
Ya I went to Denver recently and the food was legit awful.
I think you have your answer)
Do you mind if I ask what are good neighbourhoods to raise a family that aren't insanely expensive? I guess people move further down to Tacoma or Olympia?
