(Non-Romantic) Flowers for woman in office

Recently had a woman from another team absolutely save a deal from falling apart for patching up some huge problems on the DD side when she didn’t have to and in addition to her existing responsibilities. I wanted to say thanks by getting some flowers cuz (generally) women like those. Would address it from the team (not myself) as a thanks and have it delivered to the office (not her home address). I also selfishly wanna build some good rapport in case something like this again. Is that weird? If so, what says “thanks for saving our asses” in a work appropriate manner? Granted, if it was a dude I’d say thanks with a handshake and we’d never speak again but chicks are different

putting this much mental energy into something and worrying abotu how it looks 100% would not happen if this chick was a fat hag just saying you may be onto something

Non romantic flowers should first and foremost be an assortment of colors that are non roses (think white, yellow, green, etc. Floral colors). Additionally include a nice note and something else specific to the thank you, like a deal specific item or another coverage themed item. If it’s truly non romantic have the whole team sign it and you lead the initiative, she’ll know who was behind it. But as others have said, you’re probably more interested in something clearly coming from you. In that case a nice note and trinket hand delivered will do the job. Good luck.

I personally rather give something functional like a gift card to a fancy restaurant or something she might use day in day out (fancy laptop bag or something). Giving something like flowers (in my personal opinion, not speaking for the male species), is just extra work to bring home, water, keep alive and then eventually throw away.

If someone got me a swanky laptop bag I could use daily for the next 1.5 yrs, I'd MUCH rather opt for that than some overpriced flowers.

It's also a lot easier for it come across as a work gift. Just my two cents.

Reply to her last email with something like this:

”Thanks so much for the help on the project. Let me take you out for a drink (the first beer is on me - I am not flirting with you).

Respectfully Yours,”

My sister-in-law's sister is autistic and I think she has better social skills than the majority of people on this forum. What is this shit?
