Robert Greene Books

I've read good parts of the 48 Laws and 33 Strategies, and was pretty well entertained by it. Aside from the entertainment value, Greene's modern interpretation of Sun Tzu and Machiavelli seem pretty pertinent to people trying to get ahead in general, and especially in a field as competitive as the one we've chosen.

Has anyone else enjoyed any of these books? I know just out of my own nature I had already been practicing (and I'm sure most people do) much of what the book recommends and advocates. Has anybody felt that some application of this stuff or other Machiavellian type reading has helped out in the business world?

I have both books and enjoyed them. As for Machiavelli helping you in the world place, I wouldn't go that far. It isn't as if someone can read The Prince and all of a sudden become this methodical strategist. Good books, but thats about it.

There's a big shift in management thinking from competition to collaboration, keep that in mind.
