Should I Transfer?

Last year I naively accepted an offer from UToronto while under the impression that it was a target university because of its ranking and reputation. I would later find out that this was not the case but it was too late. To make matters worse, I'm not in Rotman, which would further complicate the process of breaking into high finance for me.

I'm currently facing a dilemma of whether I should transfer or not. I know that UToronto sends plenty of students to the Big 4 but it might not be my best option since I'm planning on getting into investment banking. I'm a somewhat decent student (≈3.5 GPA, entering sophomore), a member of one of my school's finance-related clubs, and interning at a no name boutique. My main options are UMich and Northwestern in the US, and Ivey in Canada. I understand that my odds of transferring are quite low, so I'm not sure if I should even bother wasting my time on transfer applications. Should I focus on improving my current standing at UofT or is transferring my best option?

Both UMich and Northwestern would give you much better odds than any school in Canada. If you can, make the transfer.
