I wouldn't be so pompous.

The caboose of my grad school class is now a partner at a startup on a first name basis with Kayne West. At the time I would have bet my tuition that fool would have been in jail before getting a real job.

There is a very big disparity between academic success and business success. There is even a bigger disparity among intelligence and net worth.

No, I totally agree. I'm mostly here for the stories. Like a girl in my senior class 9 days before graduation asked the teacher dead ass what an option is. It makes you do a double take and catches people off guard. It just makes me wonder what is going on in their head.

I'm glad that people figure out what's going on an kill it in the real world. I would never wish poor on anyone.

Funniest

I know this guys who completely ignored school and just graduated doing the bare minimum; he dead ass went out of town and got married while we were supposed to do the group project. It turns out he married the daughter of one of the best collectible porcelain/china manufacturer in the country. Instant $5M+ to his net worth.

Cash and cash equivalents: $138,311 Financial instruments and other inventory positions owned: $448,166

Kid from my class fucked around and married some gorgeous Italian girl living in LA like the minute he got home after graduation. Her family owns like dozens of vineyards and is a major producer of truffle, olive oil, and other expensive food products. I hate this kid so much.

This guy in my Economics class in our 4th year of college (in 2008) didn't do any work and might have even failed a class, but rather spent all his time buying up and managing Section 8 housing in the ghetto that was being liquidated during the financial crisis. He is worth 8 figures on the back of that investment and is set for life. I'm not even mad.

Be excellent to each other, and party on, dudes.

My classmate was nearing graduation and asked me to help her with a mock interview. In the interview, we started talking about accounting firms, so I mentioned the Big 4... she didn't know what that was.

Once I thought it couldn't get any worse, she pronounced Deloitte as "Dell-O-EE-Tay" being 100% serious.
