Monkeys, we all have those days where we’re really not feeling it but we have to get some work done anyway. Especially, as we come closer to the end of the year and with the holidays close by, how do you keep yourself motivated at work? All I can think of these days is the vacation ahead and how I plan on spending it. Any tips to overcome these blues (apart from the motivation to hold on to the job)?

I go on WSO and make tons of stupid threads hoping to generate clicks

It mostly happens with all working people, a time comes when they don't want doing work and want to go on vacation, but sometimes vacation is also not possible. My friend had suggested me that whenever you feel you don't want to work, recall all the old good memories which will refresh you and boost your energy to work. He had a good experience by doing this he and also suggested me to do this, one can also try it to get motivated at work.
Music helps me out quite a bit. For me the hard part can be getting started, once I get the ball rolling I can usually keep it going. Maybe not like going downhill, but at least not like going uphill.
I have a couple 1-2 hour long youtube mixes I normally listen to when I jam on work. When I do not feel like working, I will normally put one of those on and then my mind automatically goes into work mode.

The biggest motivation (for me) is the fear of failure...
Go drive through some areas with poor people. Take the el a couple times. If you can get to a third world country or a hospital, great. Seeing people doing not so hot makes me feel like an ungrateful lazy bitch and makes me work harder.
