2021 is arguably his best year statistically.  He led the league in passing yards at 45 years old.  It is a good decision in that he is getting out while he can still walk.  Getting hit hard at 45 can't be a good thing.

I think he wanted to play one more year but his family talked him out of it. If he was single the guy would probably sign a contract until he was 50.

May be the Giants can lure him out of retirement...

Wow. The ultimate GOAT is stepping back. I'm glad he chose to go out on top, nothing would be sadder than watching him keep playing and have his career ended by a catastrophic injury. Good for him, he won life.

Good for him, he left right at the top

When you drag it out & you deteriorate people wonder when you will leave. When you leave at the top, you leave them wanting more & cement yourself as a legend

Not a Pats fan / Buccs fan, but he is the GOAT. Hope he enjoys the next adventure!

Yeah I saw that. His agent hasn’t confirmed anything and apparently we will have to see what Tom says when he speaks out.

"If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them." - Bruce Lee

I hope he does. He’s the GOAT and just deserves to chill & enjoy life.

Real talk - no shout out to the Pats during the retirement speech? Odd move considering that was likely a pretty curated speech. Apparently caused a lot of stir in Boston
