I've always been partial to the C1 Corvette, my favorites being years 1958-1962:
As a child I promised my father that I would buy him his dream car one day, a 1963 Corvette Split-Window Coupe. He's wanted one for years, and I'd like to be able to do it.
But then again, I also said I would buy this for myself:
Note to self: get your damn life together and work harder...
“Strive for perfection in everything you do. Take the best that exists and make it better. When it does not exist, design it.” -- Sir Frederick Henry Royce, 1st Baronet, Co-Founder of Rolls-Royce Limited.
Dad had the hottest 67' with the small block in candy apple red off the factory floor, That has to be up there, since the chevy big block was a lump and ruined weight distribution.
Other than that:
63 Split window.
68-ish, as hot as you can get.
90 ZR1.
The only difference between Asset Management and Investment Research is assets.
I generally see somebody I know on TV on Bloomberg/CNBC etc. once or twice a week. This sounds cool, until I remind myself that I see somebody I know on ESPN five days a week.
1969 “Apollo XII” Corvettes are legendary. The three Apollo 12 Corvettes featured 390-hp, 427 Turbo-Jet V-8, four-speed wide-range transmission, PosiTraction 3.08 rear axle, air-conditioning, black vinyl interior, and special wheel covers.
"If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them." - Bruce Lee
The Corvette may manage to be the last one standing among all classical GT cars if the industry continues the way it has recently, I wouldn't have guessed that 20 years ago. In fact, I suspect the Corvette, 911, and Miata will outlive all their contemporaries.
I’m partial to the 4th 5th and 6th gen corvettes. I have a blue 1992 mustang and would love to have a red 1992 corvette. That or a C6 Z06 which I grew up using in tons of racing games. All black, straight piped, bored and stroked, and a disgusting lumpy cam would be insane. The LS engine is really a beast.

C8 non-z06 is ugly as hell. If you add the z06 spoiler it looks a little bit better but I don't think it's really prestigious.
The most prestigious would probably be C6 ZR1, C2 split-window, and C3 ZR1.
Coming from a huge corvette fan boy, u hit the nail on the head.
Honorable mention: c7 zr1 (the price of these things are absurd now)
I had a neighbor who had a hobby restoring 1956-57 Corvettes, and when he would drive them around they looked pretty cool.

There’s someone in my neighborhood that drives a Silver 1969 Stingray and it’s pretty sick
My friend who owns his own business used to drive a z06, not sure on the year but it ripped whenever I was riding along with him
I’m not a fan of the newer corvettes, I miss the unique shape of them. It seems like they’re trying to become something they’re not.
