When I attempt to reserve a room online its saying everything is booked? Has anyone else experienced this? Seems a little odd being that its 2 months away...
Actually I just called the hotel and they were able to set me up once I told them I was going to the conference. So I'm all good...
Dont want to be a prick, but us certified users (buysiders anyway) get hundreds of conference invitations per year to see Kravis, Marks, Schwartzman, Einhorn, Paulson etc speak and we dont pay a penny to attend - very hard to be motivated to pay to come and 'be networked' by lots of college students. Having said that I'm sure this will be an excellent and hugely valuable event for those looking to break into wall street.
This is almost certainly the wrong 'forum' for me to make this point and I am more than happy for a mod to remove it, but I definitely think you'll get a few more certified users along if its free for us (we also enjoy free beer, free steak and free strippers).
Hey Samoanboy, You're not being a prick - totally valid point....although I would argue that there will be more than just college kids there. I think it's always good to know guys in related fields like IB and HFs.
We can't give tickets away to all Certified Users because we have limited capacity. What we have done for some Certifieds that are willing to sit on a panel is comp their tickets.
