Unusual resume: Audit -> ???

Hey all, I'm kinda stumped on this one. Dude hit me up through a family member and I'd like to offer a bit of guidance but I haven't seen a profile like this.

I'm posting on behalf of someone who doesn't use WSO. I did a search and the topic is pretty well covered, and I'm just looking for any additional input y'all may have. This seemed pretty straightforward when the conversation began, but I'm not an accounting guy and was curious to see if I could get more info from the collective wisdom of the interwebz.

The Details: (in chronological order)

* CDL truck driver for 1.5 years
* top 50 ugrad, history major, 3.2 GPA
* USMC officer reserve
* 2 years experience in marketing
* MBA accounting, 3.7 GPA
* 1 year in audit at Big4
* no CPA yet, will probably take next year
* 27 years old

What are the parameters / limitations / options on switching to non-audit work for this profile? The only thing I could think of at the time (and many drinks deep) was maybe valuations. Now that my head has cleared, I'm wondering if this would work for TAS as well? Big4 consulting? I think they have about a year or so left in the reserves, I really didn't go into detail. They liked audit work for about 6 months but have gotten bored, so they're looking for the next thing. I'm trying to help them land a role at my firm as well, but so far no dice.

Where would you steer this individual?
