What if the US split in two?

Evening $hitpost time

Hear me out- what if Trump or Biden claims illegitimate results and the US split post election? What states would fall where? would there be two separate countries that could sustain themselves? would they fail on their own or fall into their own versions of despair?? or thrive and make their own global alliances?

Interesting thought. I don’t know how they would split, if we are gonna divide on political lines. The middle of the nation is all red and the coasts have some blue, so I don’t how well that would work. Unless people migrate, the libs take the west and conservatives take the East...doesn’t seem like it would work well. The closest thing I can think of is the partition of India, where you would have Pakistan, India and then East Pakistan (Bangladesh) dividing a nation on religion didn’t work well, it’s still not working. Cant imagine it’ll be better if done on political lines.

The country itself will never split into separate entities, just won't happen. Both isles of politicians will kick and scream but neither would ever have the balls to advocate for actual secession from the US. If lines are drawn and things get start getting violent though, the choice of sides should be easy for anyone without a death wish. When things get heated my money is on the side with the majority of cops, military, and guns right's activists, not the triggered youth and soft city dwellers. Fuck around find out.

It's worth noting that the officers in the Breonna Taylor case just got cleared of all charges and won't be indicted. Louisville, KY is about to get hit with some rioting. The city was already placed on alert leading up to the verdict and if anyone was paying attention to the polls during the Floyd & Blake cases we all know which side the riots hurt more. Not looking good for Biden unless they change their tune and put this out quickly.

Can you believe Kamala Harris visited Jacob Blake in the hospital and called the family brave!? They encourage the worst of Americans citizens, truly bottom of the barrel type of people and the left (not all of them) hail them as martyrs. NFL players wearing the name of Geroge Floyd on their helmets but not David Dorne. To your point, I feel like a lot of the people who were anti trump in 2016 have woken up this year. Not because they like trump or believe in conservative ideas but because they see the bullshit on the left for what it is...bullshit.
