It really depends on the F up. If it is something stupid, small, or insignificant to most (although as the interviewer you think it is a big deal), you can just reach back out with a thank you, follow-up question, etc to gauge their interest and keep the convo going.
If, however, you really F'ed up, completely bombed every technical from the most basic, essentially said you hate banking and just want money in a banking interview, or something similar, your best bet will be to just forget that avenue and move on to the next one. People forget about stupid mistakes and F ups (even big ones) down the line - but if you keep on reaching out to try to fix it, you end up leaving a bad taste in more than 1 person's mouth and that is how you shoot yourself in the foot going forward as opposed to just missing an opportunity at a given moment in time.
Screw ups happen, it's how you deal with them that determines whether you are hurt for a minute or for a while. Good luck.
agreed, move on and dont make the same mistakes again/be prepared.
whats done is done and you shouldnt start annoying people and create an even worse impression.
I'd also find the right forum to post in. Attention to detail may very well have been why you fked up your interview
Calm down. Reflect on what went wrong. Move on.
And if you still can't get over it, drink up! You'll probably forget all about it the next day.
It sucks i know... but view it as a learning experience for the future and move on to the next onee
