What type of companies do ex-bankers create?
This is my first time posting, I was just simply wondering what type of companies do retired bankers tend to create and why?

Ex bankers who wish to remain in Finance - P/E HF, funds management etc, often relating to their industry experience
Ex bankers who are arguably more competent - go into Tech - Jeff Bezos of Amazon
Ex bankers who are burnt out - open a large restaurant or buy a few coffee shops, with the aim of receiving secure annuity based returns
Seems reasonable.
A retired banking friend of mine (used to be my boss) created a private investment fund and has traders who invest on behalf of his investors. Another telco C-level went into his own venture capital firm and predominantly invests in areas he has absolutely no knowledge in (i.e. biology, pharmacy, chemistry - but he is willing to learn about these fields).
In both cases it was all about who they knew, how to raise funds, and who to trust rather than what specifically they knew regarding subject matter expertise.
