I don't spend much time outside in the winter. But I still need to cover my ears and hands from the wind chill. These are thin enough where they aren't to noticable and I can stick them in my back pocket when I'm not wearing them.
I have everything I want at the moment. Maybe some new clothes would be nice, boring I know, but really not much to buy. The Steam winter sale is soon, might pick a few things from there. Will give more than I'll get this Christmas.

I've got good opinions of Henckel's Vier Sterne and Misen knives. I'd probably go Misen if I was doing it today. Good knives at a low cost.
Also: Don't begin to worry if your GF/Wife asks for cooking knives. Begin to worry when she begins to ask for a switchblade or a gun for Christmas. (Switchblades are actually pretty cool. Check their legality where you live though.)
