HA! Came here to see if someone put 2 Bros. No joke, might be the best effin pizza in the city. If you haven't had it, you have to go.

The brooklyn location and the one in east village easily added 30lbs to my name.

Lol precedence on this forum shows that this will indeed evolve into a highly controversial, politically-charged topic.

But I enjoy Pizza Beach on the lower east

I was relatively disappointed with artichoke. Too much sauce, way too creamy. Threw it out after the first bite.

We have a winner here folks.

Prince Street has superlative pizza. This is especially true for those of you who dig pepperoni. For this, it is pretty much a homerun with the bases loaded.

If very traditional is your thing, go to Lombardi's near Elizabeth and Kenmare.

Bravo, you may have found the only place worse than that dollar slice joint on St. Mark's. (Other than 'skinny pizza' in hudson eats, but I refuse to even call that pizza)

Other than the usual suspects:

Tom's on 125th and Broadway is great for Sicilian. Prince St. Pizza for their 'Spicy Spring' (Grandma-ish). The original Patsy's way uptown for a good NY slice, and the Star Tavern in Orange, NJ for a bar pie.

Let's start off "New York Pizza" is not really a thing anymore, at least you can't find many places in Manhattan. You can get close with Famiglia or a Ray's, but slice pizza has gone the way of the Dodo. The best slice pizza I have had in 15 years had been in the Bronx and Mount Vernon.

Now you want to talk pizza, like Brooklyn pizza? Luzzo's, Grimaldi's, Patsy's on 117th and Second in manhattan. Couple of other places too.

When I lived on UES, I really liked Delizia 73 (http://delizia73.com) and they’ve got another one farther north (Delizia 92). I got introduced to margherita pizza through Delizia so there’s sentimental value. Prior to that I grew up on pizza chain stuff. It opened me up to the world of better pizza. Similar thing happened with sushi while in NY too (before that I was a poor student satisfied with all you can eat stuff).

I haven’t been back to NY since last year, but I went to Delizia when I was there and they still serve by the slice as well.

I live around the corner. Can confirm Delizia is solid.

Delizia is okay as a late night option but I find the sauce is too sweet for me.

Mimi's on 84th and Lex always used to be the place to go on the UES, but they closed down a couple years ago. Bobby Flay's first job was working there.

Posto or Pizza Gruppo (same owner/menu)

Classica (marinara sauce, fresh tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, fresh basil) is the best pizza in NYC....the Parma or the Chickpotle pies are also very good if i'm feeling like a wider taste profile.

just google it...you're welcome

There needs to be oscar-style categories.

New York Style: John's on Bleecker. There's a place in midtown too. They don't sell by the slice.

Convenience/2 AM Pizza: Joe's. It's not better than John's, but you can crush a slice late night.

Sicilian: L&B Spumoni Gardens in Brooklyn. It's not even fucking close. Their sauce puts all others to shame. Do yourself a favor and take a day trip out there (it's deep), you won't be disappointed.

New/Modern Shit: Emily's West Village. This place is legit, make an awesome burger too. Only problem is they think they are the new Dorsia, people wait 3 hours to sit. They deliver but it's not worth it.

Darkhorse: Artichoke makes a really good Margherita slice. The artichoke pie with a stick-of-butter-per-slice, pass. Also, their delivery sucks. BUT, that Cheese or maybe pep is a solid slice.

you think l&b is that good? i was a little disappointed in the squares and sauce. the guy probably just didn't pay his extortion and got shot over that... it's probably just your standard canned tomato+ salt. i will go back because the ice cream was worth the trip.

Both in the Bronx... Marconi's on Gunhill Road, near Montefiore Hospital or Dino's on Mosholu Avenue, which is further north, as you get closer to Yonkers. I can't remember the last time I had good pizza in Manhattan, it's almost always a let-down. I am still mourning the loss of Nonno Tony's on 235th St. - they had a brick oven and their pizza was epic.

Patsy’s (East Harlem location)- So so underrated. Very classic and one of the first of its kind in NYC.

Otto Enoteca - A Batali restaurant over in Greenwich. Very good pizza with different styles (like pizza w prosciutto, arugula, etc). It’s definitely on the higher end and does pizza in an Italian format but I recommend nonetheless. There’s also a sweet bar there.

Koronet’s - A gem located in Columbia’s neck of the woods. It’s not the “best” per say, but they are giant sized, good tasting and are all around great.

Honorable mentions: Joe’s, Bleecker Street Pizza, Grimaldi’s

Dishonorable mention: Artichoke’s Pizza (the last time I went they accidentally baked a screw into my slice - true story - haven’t been back since).

San Matteo on the UES is pretty up there on good Neapolitan style pizza. The Tartufata White Pizza (mozzarella cheese, truffle pate’, prosciutto di parma, olive oil and basil) is literally the best pizza I've ever had.

Cheer up, Bateman. What's the matter? No shiatsu this morning?
