What's the going joke at your office?

I've been in IB for about a month. As of 10 minutes ago, I'm the last person left in the office. A senior colleague from another group noticed me as he was leaving, and said "Oh, hey dude. Looks like you're living the dream here!"

I've heard this a few times this month, always in relation to long hours. I get the irony of the statement, but I'm wondering if it's a thing on my floor, or if it's broader. The other one one going around is "Muskets at dawn", from Wanker Banker, always said with a British accent.

That said, what's the going joke at your office?

This year's bonus.

Those who can, do. Those who can't, post threads about how to do it on WSO.

...you're putting deep thought into a very obvious joke?

I'm sure every group has that guy they love to poke fun at. Just make sure you're not that guy.

Not really a deep thought, just pattern recognition.

That said, I just remembered another two: When we did a group order for dinner, and a co-op student went to pick up the food, and came back from the cold lugging 4 big bags, someone said "I like my food garnished with the tears of interns."

Or, when the said student sent out an email saying that a sushi restaurant messed up an order, one reply was "You should have anticipated this and begun making rolls an hour ago as a contingency. This is very sloppy on your part."

Don't fall for bullshit, especially your own.

Your office's sense of humor sucks

Daily ritual of very sarcastic commentary on political decisions, dumb investments by large funds, poor management decisions, and/or massively overrated management teams (ex: POST)

The on going jokes at my office are your retarded socially awkward posts that lack humor.

Under my tutelage, you will grow from boys to men. From men into gladiators. And from gladiators into SWANSONS.

The floor I'm on I find the humor to be pretty solid. The senior trader loves shitting on everyone but one of the sales guys is his main target. Regularly talks about how small the sales' guys' penis is. Sings random songs about how gay he is. Whenever there's old nasty fat chicks on CNBC they talk about how they would take that down.

Funniest shit I saw was the two traders that sit across from me always whip the soft type nerf footballs at the sales guy next to me. They whipped one at him and it hit him clean in the head and made a loud "thud". He was all disoriented after. I was laughing my ass off and he got pissed at me for laughing.
