Never taken a test but tbh, I don’t think it really matters in finance. I wouldn’t say I’m dumb, but I also wouldn’t say I’m too far above average. Kinda goes to show you don’t need to be a genius to succeed in this space.
On the other hand I have met some extremely bright people and it is really exciting to see how they think and go about things. Their ability to process information quickly and draw conclusions is amazing and something that I am envious of. I would say I am a generally curious person, but there are some people that are just on a whole new level in the way that they can see things in a different way than everyone else.
I get that the incentive of pay will always make it this way, but I honestly think it’s kind of a shame when I come across someone truly exceptional like that in banking or PE. You could be figuring out how the universe works but instead you’re figuring out how to lever a shitty Midwest doorknob manufacturer 10x lol. Brain drain finance is nothing new but it is really cool to see someone smart actually do something meaningful with their mind

I scored similar (administered by a psychologist) and it doesn’t feel any different - likely because most of my friends scored / would score in a similar IQ range. I’ve just never really had to try hard in picking up things, and never struggled at school.
That being said, I often get silently frustrated with other people being “slow” - when in reality they’re probably operating at a “normal” speed.
Tested several times- Between 135 and 160+ depending on the test and the particular day that I take it. I believe that there are different types of intelligence that are measured differently by different types of tests. When I took a test that rewarded speed and accuracy, I was able to get a perfect score several times in a row, while I typically score closer to 145 on MENSA type tests.
I think around 115-120 when I got tested as a kid. I'm not book smart and not really street smart. Would say I'm above average intelligence overall but not by a lot.
Couldn't join the army, so had to settle for logarithmic multi-variable stochastic volatility modeling with recursive machine learning algorithms.
76 IQ is 16.1% percentile. Not that you would be able to figure that out with a 76 IQ tho.

Lowest IQ is 40-45 and 40 in Celsius is 104 degrees F, which is not room temperature.

Wow, you’re really triggered that I’m not a Bernie bro lol. Some of you are soooo fragile. Maybe a double dose of soy in your coffee this morning for strength?
127, might be higher now though since I have greatly increased my knowledge and certain abilities.
It's very unlikely to be able to increase IQ. You can only decrease IQ (TBI). An increase of IQ on a test would just mean a measurement difference or error.

I feel safe saying it's above average. I scored very well on exams, valedictorian, etc. etc. I have a lot of problems, but I wouldn't say intelligence is one of them lol.

Had to take a test both in 4th grade and 5th grade to get into the gifted program (which was a joke honestly) and got the same score
Maybe it's a bit different now, who knows
132 - tested by a psychologist
About tree fiddy
142 with a standard deviation of 16, and/or 157 with a standard deviation of 24.
(British Mensa does two tests for entry).
Wow what’s it like being a genius?
Dk if sarcastic or not but either way I’m no genius. (Not even 3 s.d. on either test).
Being top 1% by IQ is nice ig, pretty sure my EQ took a hit though.
I’ll trade somebody 5-10 IQ points for a RX analyst position 👍.

IQ tests are bullshit: https://medium.com/incerto/iq-is-largely-a-pseudoscientific-swindle-f13…
that said, I'm 135 according to a test, but I'm an idiot

Def bottom 10%
No surprise there, your post history speaks for itself

127, might be higher now though since I have greatly increased my knowledge and certain abilities. My dad scored 141.

why shouldn't you increase your iq? If you practice certain math and logical patterns I believe you can increase it at least by 5-10 points
I feel safe saying it's above average. I scored very well on exams, valedictorian, etc. etc. I have a lot of problems, but I wouldn't say intelligence is one of them lol.
Does it matter?
I am surprised you are not asking about EQ.
Rounds to about room temperature - turns out brain think less mean make more dollar
Doesn’t matter, favouritism is the only thing that helps you succeed in a large corporate anyways.
Well said.
