Whey
Creatine
Vitamin C
Vitamin D
Zinc
Lions Mane (sometimes)
Anyone found a supplement for mental clarity or verbal fluency? Lion’s Mane was supposed to be that for me but I’m not really sure it’s effective. Not looking for a typical stimulant (e.g., caffeine or adderall).
How long have you been on creatine? I found that it helped me with mental clarity.
It helps but looking for other supps. Been using it on and off for five years.
supps for mental clarity/verbal fluency = reading. especially literary fiction. Kindle is a life changer
I tried Magic Mind recently. I definitely felt something in terms of mental clarity. Just not sure it lasted long enough. So I can at least vouch it’s not bullshit. Maybe give it a try and see if it does more for you.
My stack currently is:
jk but to your point:
I did all of the Liturgy of the Hours for a year when I thought I was going to become a priest.
I can't fit the greater or all the hours into my schedule, but I do like some of the lesser hours, like Prime in the morning and Compline before bed (both Ordinariate versions).
A Multivitamin and biotin
*supplement with caffeine, nicotine, and anger as necessary
Multi & Fish Oil. Whey if we're counting that.
Most "supplements" are bullshit.
You should also take 5,000 to 10,000 IUs of D3 as well. Most multivitamins only have 1,000.
Seconded. Also majority of americans are deficient in magnesium which is important for physical and mental health.
Let’s fuckin go. Death Star delts inbound
He might have to tren harder than test e for boulder shoulders
Hah, the rare supplements that are not bullshit
Creatine
Whey Protein
Vitamin E
Vitamin B
P5P
I did a little 3 month test run of MK-677 (it's a peptide) - I actually had some not great side effects (nothing long-term), but did add 7-8 lbs. of muscle in 3 months. If you're going to mess around with peptides, I'd recommend going through a real HRT clinic (Transcend is what my friends use), vs. using something like peptide sciences (which is highly regarded, but still don't be dumb like me and do it under the supervision of a doctor).
What were the side effects?
Deleted
bump
- Creatine
- Electrolytes
- Black seed oil
- Magnesium
- Collagen + Vit C
- Greens
- Contrast Therapy - Sauna / Cold Plunge 2x per week
Been on this consistently for about 2 months and noticed a real improvement in sleep, energy, performance and mood. Partly placebo perhaps but noticeably feel better about life all whilst the world seems to be losing its brains
Do people take these supps in one sitting or throughout the day?
wondering this as well
These are so many supps, do people put these into a smoothie or something
zero supplements
I get outside daily, exercise often, eat well, and have very good bloodwork
less is more kiddies
for what it's worth I'm anti much of the optimizer crowd like attia, huberman & rhonda patrick. I don't doubt their intellect but their understanding of statistics (esp huberman) is laughable so the fact they make recs like this is insane
I'd challenge anyone who's worried about nutrition to simply remove poisons from their diet & life and see what happens - get some unprotected sun, jump in the ocean as much as you can, no starch that says "enriched," grass fed & pasture raised as much as possible, limit seed oils (this means going out to eat less and cooking more, so do it), and do your absolute best to curate an environment of less stressors, even if it means changing careers
better to remove poisons than add unproven supps just because you heard about it on a podcast, via negativa
Underrated comment, bump
On a daily basis I consume enough drugs to sedate Manhattan, Long Island, and Queens for a month. I take Quaaludes 10-15 times a day for my "back pain", Adderall to stay focused, Xanax to take the edge off, pot to mellow me out, cocaine to wake me back up again, and morphine... Well, because it's awesome. But of all the drugs under God's blue heaven, here is one that is my absolute favorite. See, enough of this shit will make you invincible - able to conquer the world. And eviscerate your enemies.
[Sniffs cocaine]
Testosterone enanthate, trenbolone acetate, arimidex
Want to start taking creatine but worried about hair loss. Has anyone had any issues with hair loss since taking creatine?
Dude, I'd be worried more about the side effects of finasteride than creatine.
I'm balding and want to fix that but have heard horror stories about finasteride. Been on creatine for almost two years and have seen little influence on my balding but it has helped me tremendously with muscle gains.
Sleep:
Magnesium glycinate
Melatonin 3mg (more isn’t better)
L-Thianine (also used to mellow caffeine and addy highs)
Focus:
Caffeine
Adderall IR (XR makes it hard to have a mid day meal)
Alpha GPC
L Tyrosine
Hydration:
Sodium
Potassium
Magnesium
Glycerol (I take this when training in the hot summer or after I weigh in after a water cut)
Gatorade powder to mix with (carbs increase absorption)
Gains:
Creatine
Whey protein
Mass gainer (needed when I can’t eat solid food because of the stims)
Other:
Tadalafil (good for pumps of all kinds 🫣)
KSM 66 Ashwagandha taken acutely when stressed
Vitamin D3
I don’t take a pre workout, just caffeine and hydration/carbs. To each their own.
I’ve been taking a mix of essentials and a few targeted ones for energy and mood. My core stack is D3 + K2, magnesium glycinate, zinc, and a B-complex. I’ve also stuck with krill oil for Omega-3s, and as someone who doesn’t eat that much fish, it’s made a noticeable difference in my joints and focus. Lately, I’ve been trying out L-Tyrosine in the mornings – feels like it gives me a bit of mental lift without the jittery caffeine side effects.
To stay on track with it all, I’ve been using Menalam. It keeps my supplement routine aligned with actual health data, which just makes it easier to adjust anything over time.
