https://www.harrisassoc.com/About-Us/MarketingClient-Relations/Jack-Wil… Total badass. Super smart

https://www.harrisassoc.com/About-Us/MarketingClient-Relations/Jeffrey-… This guy was really cool tbh. He'd wear Captain America t-shirts and tell jokes and shit, but always super smart when it mattered. Pretty ripped too. I suspect he was a fellow bipolar.

I worked at a small R/E dev firm inside of a prop shop. The guy who ran it was really smart a down-to-earth. He was a chef too. Was on MasterChef, I think. Told me how it's all staged lol

Everyone at my last job was a stupid loser. Even the execs were dummies - just good at the corporate game. The Board had a couple really smart people. But they never let their guards down.

And now I work from home, so I'm the smartest guy here even on a bad day.

A guy I work with is like 32 and runs one of the fastest-growing R/E brokerages in the country, a law firm, is a regular on local radio and TV, has a podcast, a tech company, and is a race car driver. I don't think he's even that bright, but he works like 18 hour days every single day and has boundless energy. I'm impressed, but I wouldn't trade lifestyles.

I'm really craving meeting someone who is a master at systems. I love systems. My whole life is run by systems - with spontaneous shit thrown in at pivot points.

have you read scott adams' book how to fail at almost everything and still win big kind of? one of his main points is to have systems instead of goals

No but I'll read it. Thanks man. I love systems. It's really an art imo. My entire job is basically to put out fires and then put systems in place to automate future similar fires or handle them in a more efficient fashion. I apply systems to everything though. It's an art imo. You need to use discretion and creativity at pivot points, but run systems rigorously at all other times. My goal is to break a system to find its weakness and improve upon it. In business, as I grow, I have to constantly re-invent systems. I enjoy it. When a system fails, I remember and internalize the pain of putting out that fire and I harness that energy to improve my systems.

Scott Adams is so weird about Trump. He will defend him to the death. He thinks Trump is a fucking genius who makes every move meticulously and deliberately. I'm not sure he even believes it himself anymore, but he's in deep and won't back out.

I don't really fuck with goals at all tbh. I just wanna have fun, do and learn interesting shit, and laugh as much as possible. A couple people agree. Most don't. Goals stem from hubris and a false belief in one's ability to predict the future imo

don't mean to sound entitled in any way, but at my internship (SWE), it was definitely me (at least in the group I was in). everyone was just of a lower caliber; totally dissapointing. too many liberals and SJWs I guess
