Why you shouldn't try changing your threads to [deleted].

For the past month, there has been an excessively high number of [deleted] threads popping up in the Recent Tracker. Not only is it annoying, and unhelpful to future people in your situation who are trying to search for existing threads, it's completely ineffective:

So without further ado,

EURO'S 3-STEP TRICK TO FINDING OUT THE ORIGINAL POST CONTENT
1. Copy the first reply, and google search that in quotes. This will get the original link to the thread. For example, consider //www.wallstreetoasis.com/forums/delete-please-2. Doing this will get the original link, //www.wallstreetoasis.com/forums/help-for-sophomore-trying-to-go-into-ibd-at-non-target (now defunct)

2. Try the google cache. Sometimes you're done here. In this case we're good to go! Woohoo! But what in the case where the cache is too new? E.g //www.wallstreetoasis.com/forums/decision-of-my-life (now defunct)

3. Go to archive.org and enter the original thread link, then click on the oldest available archive. You're done! Original post able to be read!

This works for deleted posts within threads too. Happy reading.
