You can email HR to ask if it's something they'd consider - or a shortened period like 1-2 weeks, noting that you can transition your projects in that time.

but you signed a contract saying you'd work the notice period so I wouldn't push back if they say no either. no reason to burn a bridge over 30 days of light work. You can also ask to take your remaining PTO days if your contract allows

This really depends how much you want to burn bridges. If you already have another offer lined up, you can quit now.

"If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them." - Bruce Lee

Either do 2 week notice, or just quit if you have another offer lined up. It would be better to take time off to destress or go on vacation

This actually happened to me when I was a junior. I made up a death in the family and HR was like okay it’s probably better to just make today your last day. Or you could say a family emergency. Or you could say you need a health break. Or literally making anything plausible up.

Wtf is wrong with all you young people on this board?

How can you go through life not understand how white lies work? It makes me so sad people don’t have even a little bit of social acumen to navigate obviously scenarios.
