Just lateralled into IB at a borderline BB/MM bank (with +3y Corp dev experience) and want to ultimately go into PE after a year or two. Should I try on cycle now or just try for off cycle once im a few of months away from being ready to make the move to PE? Non target school. Know it won't be easy but want to give myself the best shot and not make any bad impressions by reaching out too early
