Am I stuck in the Midwest until I go to B-School?

I am beginning to consider a move to another firm hopefully on the east coast and am curious about how my experience will be received. I have an opportunity for a temp-to-full time at GS in their PE fof group but I hope I can continue to be a part of the direct investments. Here are my stats:

Public state school with an average GPA, lots of extracurriculars. Level 2 CFA candidate First year analyst with a small fundless PE firm (8 guys, averaging 25 years experience). Target companies in the $10M to $100M EV range. Associate level experience including attempting to source my own deals (none completed yet) and participating in deal structuring and negotiations. The firm is sector agnostic located in the Rocky Mountain region and typically complete 2-3 deals per year. Current focus is in o&g services and telecom IB and VC experience with the same firm I am the only analyst so I have had, what I feel is significant deal exposure. I have worked on 15 separate transactions (one successful, various stages of DD on the rest) since signing on in January.
