BDT Culture & Comp

Does anyone have any updated insights as to culture / work life balance / comp at BDT? How much of the work is generally advisory vs investing and what type of investing is it (have heard growth and structured equity). Is there face time and when are people generally in an out of the office, etc.?

I was being sarcastic, partially because I don't actually know that much in detail. In any event, my friend's roommate used to work there. He seemed kind of miserable. Would always be in his room working when we came over, missed plans all the time to work (including a birthday party he planned that was at his house). He never said anything explicity, but didn't seem to like his coworkers, which, albeit, could be a product of his WLB. One of my principals worked there as an associate. He hasn't said anything in particular about them, but we work with them sometimes at my current fund. They seem nice enough, I guess. From my view, though, a lot of the ones I've interacted with seem cold and sharp edged.
