Hey there! Based on the most helpful WSO content, it seems that brainteasers are indeed a part of some Private Equity interviews. One user, NuclearPenguins, who is a Certified Private Equity Professional, mentioned that they always ask one of two brainteasers they have on hand during interviews. The purpose isn't necessarily to get the right answer, but to see how candidates think. So, while acing the brainteaser might not be a game-changer if you've done well on the technical aspects, it could potentially give you an edge if you're borderline.
