Buyout vs. Real Estate

Recently, I received an offer from AEW for a real estate associate position. I currently work at the Morgan Stanley Private Equity team and have no background in real estate.

I am curious about how reputable and prestigious AEW is (seemingly one of the leading real estate investors globally), as well as the basic compensation/incentives compared to the current buyout role. Is there anyone who can provide advice?

Also, in terms of the industry, how do you guys typically value buyout roles versus real estate in the long term?"
