CAIA / CFA as a LP

Work at a SFO and was thinking how relevant the CFA or CAIA is for a career as an allocator / LP?

From my understanding only very little people know CAIA, and while the CFA looks nice it doesn't seem to be a hard requirement for most LPs while it would still take a considerable amount of time to complete for little pay off
