Chemicals PE Space
Hey all - incoming IB Analyst at a BB Industrials / Chemicals group. Definitely looking at recruiting for PE, and given my group, I figure I’d probably be getting the best looks from firms that are active in the space. Would anyone be able to provide some insight into which firms besides the PE firms focused on chemicals like SK tend to be the most active in the space. Thanks!
HIG and One Rock are very active players in the chemicals space. In general, the value-oriented funds (Platinum, Apollo) seem to dabble in the space pretty often. Off the top of my head, other funds that have played in the space include CD&R, Carlyle, Paine Schwartz, PAI, Aurora, Nautic, Bain, and Arsenal. Overall it seems like a lot of industrials funds have chemicals as a focus area.
Good list. I work at one of the MM funds you listed. Some other good adds by the person below. Would add Gryphon and Wind Point. In large cap space, would add Advent.
Other funds I can think of involved in the chemicals space are American Securities, TJC, and Lone Star Funds
Advent / Apollo are good ones in the large cap space with CD&R that was mentioned above.
