Cleantech IB (and exit to PE, perhaps)
Going to keep this short. What are people's opinions on cleantech IB? Any thoughts on places like Greentech Capital Advisors or ThinkGreen! for example?
I'm extremely focused and dedicated to IB -- but I'm trying to specialize into cleantech/renewables because it's been an interest of mine for quite a long time, and I figure it would work well together. Anyone have advice for going down this route, stories, etc?

What geographic market are you in? And are you looking at the tech development or the infrastructure aspects?
I've seen more renewable infra deals done in Europe than here in the US (eg windfarms).
I'm interested in both, but would say more inclined towards the infrastructure aspects.

Anyone of have any insight on how the cleantech/renewables sector currently looks for IB? And in the next 5 years or so?
What offices/location have the most action for cleantech, is it still Houston like for O&G or is it more of the west coast? What groups/firms are the big players in this space?
Tried doing a search but there's limited info and most of the energy IB topics on this forum are about O&G.
See my post on this thread:

This is great, thanks.
I'd like to add that at some other firms CT&R is rolled up into Industrials instead of Power.
Yeah, this is an important distinction - "Clean Tech" often refers to equipment, (solar panels, batteries, etc) as opposed to the power gen side of things. As the industry has matured most "Clean Tech" is now more VC stage investing, though.
