Community College to MBB and Private Equity Q&A
Yes, it’s absolutely possible. I’m currently a junior at a semi-target school, having transferred from community college last semester. I landed an MBB offer for my sophomore summer and, a few months later, secured a summer analyst role in growth equity for my penultimate summer.
What I’ve learned from this journey is that success comes down to being resourceful. Don’t just network—focus on building genuine relationships and finding ways to stand out (i.e. for my GE final round I made an entire pitch deck instead of just a write up for a sourcing assignment). Be relentless in your approach and truly committed to the process.
