CPPIB Energy & Resources?

Hey!

I may have an interview up and coming with the CPPIB Energy & Resources team in Toronto. I have heard some unsettling things about the team - long hours and under-performing portfolio (heavily O&G weighted).

Does anyone have any experience with the team? I have heard they have bad junior turnover which usually means the juniors are overworked.

Thanks for any responses!

They have a mandate to put quite a bit of capital to work. Definitely some growing pains (i.e. buying Encana’s DJ assets without a management team ready to go). Will be interesting to see how some of the more recent investments play out (Encino, JV with Williams).
