I mean they can't prove you're not allergic, you could just be casual "Oh sorry I can't pet him, I think I'm allergic, I've been sneezing a lot and I'm thinking it might be Fluffy". bring some Claritin and leave it on your desk if you want to really sell it.

Lol this is fucked, really sorry to hear. I’d probably just tell your boss all of the issues w having the dog in the office, such as making those moaning sounds during calls with clients. I think if you mention it has an effect w clients he may keep the dog in his office or just stop bringing it.
