I left IB for better WLB with a family and landed at a T2 strategy firm. I’m now at manager/project lead level. Every time I read about deals I am excited though.
I did some LMM European PE recruiting and made it deep but didn’t quite get there. Let’s say I stay another few years in strategy; pre-partner what are my options?

Portco work?
I assume any IB/PE/etc. is dead and WLB with family would be tough
