Dividend payment with a minimum cash balance
I am trying to build a three statement model and DCF. I would like Excel to ensure that the cash balance over all n-periods remains with minimum 2 million cash balance but all excess cash that could be distributed is actually distributed.
When I attempt this issue, I always end up with circular references.
Does anyone have an idea?Thanks.
Quick fix: circ ref should be in 1. interest payments/received. If you link those to cash/debt amounts of last year, your circ ref should be resolved. 2. Circ ref in cash minimum of 2m you might want to solve by splitting cash on balance sheet in trapped cash (2.0m) and cash that corresponds with the RCF. The 2m is fixed amount, the rest flows through.
Thank you.
