Do HH's ding for interview feedback?

Anyone know if PE firms report how individual candidates' interviews went back to HH's if they do not advance to the next round? Asking because I had an interview with a decent size shop that didn't go that well. Nothing catastrophic, just made me realize I haven't prepared enough and do not think I was very close to getting to the next round, don't want to get dinged in HH's eyes.

It's not common for PE firms to provide detailed feedback on individual interviews, especially if you didn't advance to the next round. Generally, their priority is to streamline the process and focus on moving candidates forward rather than giving extensive feedback to those who didn't progress.

If you've recognized areas for improvement, that's a positive takeaway. Use this experience as a learning opportunity to enhance your preparation and refine your interview skills. It's always a good idea to keep working on your strengths and addressing any weaknesses you've identified.

While firms might not report specific details back to headhunters, the key is to demonstrate growth and improvement in subsequent interviews. Keep pushing forward and stay persistent – you've got this!
