Elite MM PE Analyst Programs
What are some MM PE Analyst positions that you would take over mid-tier BB? End goal is PE so thinking about recruiting for FT positions during my SA.

BDT
Anyone have more detail on the experience at BDT from anywhere from analyst - VP level? Am vaguely familiar with Merchant banking model, but any insight on hours/culture/development would be appreciated!
Might depend on what kind of PE you want to exit to (e.g. MF, UMM, Growth, etc).
Crestview, Audax, GTCR, Parthenon, Arcline, and Stone Point (if you like FS) all have great Analyst programs.
Interested in tech/growth focused buyout + GE. Thanks for these names, I've actually been looking at a few you mentioned, but wasn't sure if it would be best to take one of these analyst offers over a strong mid-tier BB group. Thinking about brand name, MBA, and ability to move up funds.
If you look at Linkedin, you'll find that Analysts from all of the firms I've mentioned (except maybe Arcline - it's new) above have moved up to bigger funds, including TPG, Permira, KKR and more. So it's definitely possible. Wish you the best with your decision!
That’s good to know, thanks! Any idea on MBA placement, assuming you don’t lateral to a large-cap PE? What are the chances for HSW and rest of M7.
For GE, places like Lead Edge, Silversmith, Spectrum, etc come in mind. However you won’t be able to pursue buyout but rather MF GE or TA/TCV type funds after your analyst stint if you do not want to stay at the “MM” funds.
How is MBA placement at those GE firms?
