From loan capital markets to private equity/investment banking

Hello guys!

I am currently an auditor in one the the Big 4, and have recently accepted a role of loan origination, debt capital markets in one of the regional banks.

What would be my future career paths from this role that I have accepted? Would there be chances that I am able to join private equity in the future?
