Before you regret your decision, don’t come to Canada for PE if you’re already in the US, especially Vancouver. Van PE shops are limited in number and comp is very low, combined with very little room for partner track. I know someone who was initially told that they would get carry after becoming VP only to be forced out because the founders didn’t wanna share carry and decided it was cheaper to just hire a new associate to do the job. Only shops that are good but not the best are in Toronto like CPP as you can see from LinkedIn people either stay or exit to better shops in the US and they have an analyst program for UG.
