Very niche. For anyone who likes finance/PE/etc it seems cool. I have worked in the space but it’s basically a small men’s club based in Greenwich or Palm Beach or whatever. If you really want to do GP stakes, the best path for an average investor is to just buy some stock in your favorite publicly traded GP: BX, APO, KKR, CG, ARES, etc
I’m generally finding new names are coming to public markets. I even learned yesterday of some LMM PE firm that’s public. RPC I think
If you do break into the institutional private markets GP stakes good luck.
