Greenbriar Insight
Can anybody add color on Greenbriar culture, associate exposure as an associate, and recruiting process? What kind of profile do the look for? And, what kind of comp should an associate expect? Thanks

Also - is it a pain commuting to rye everyday for work from Manhattan? Ugh
Have heard great things about culture, comp is okay / slightly low but not material. That’s about all I know
I heard carry at associate level - guessing comp must overall be pretty good then.
Bump on which recruiter they use, comp and culture?
Fund size has been growing seriously recently with just completing a $3.5bn round I think about doubling thier last. Comp package is very generous at the analyst level plus you already get carry.
Bought out one of their portcos at my current firm, and from what I understand they generated hefty returns there. Sharp folks, slightly buttoned up.
They doubled their fund at 3.5bn and I believe came back in the market after having raised a fifth fund just 2 years ago. The buyout insider article indicates returns for the prior fund was 50%+, now that is serious no matter how you dice it. I am pretty active in MM industrials and they are emerging very well as players in services and logistics.
Have a friend who works there. Seems solid on culture, he seems very happy, he said he had a solid levered co-invest opportunity and returns are great (have heard some absurd numbers lol need to dili. myself). Industrials focused but do cool stuff like Uber Freight. Depends on what you are looking for but great opportunity to learn quickly with a sizable fund $3bn+.
Let’s just say the partners in their last two funds are now primordial members of our fleeting generational ethos - “Young Moolah Baby”
bump
Are they hybrid or 5 days in person
Bump - are they in office 5 days per week?
I'm a mezz lender. In 2020 we worked with them onnonenof their portcos that was very mediocre - it was levered 5.5x and they wanted sub debt to get it up 7x. Business definitely could not support more than 4.5-5.5. found management to be a bit wacky.
Some absolute weird fucks, weird stuffy culture too.
