Has anyone had success recruiting for multiple types of PE roles (deal team, ops team, IR, etc.) or types of funds (growth, buyout, etc.)with the same headhunter? If so, what story did you tell to explain your diverse interests?

It seems most folks gunning for PE buyout either recruit for either deal team and ops team. Has anyone interviewed for and/or taken a different role than they were initially going for? If someone is truly open to any buyside role, what's a good story to spin that varied interest?

I do understand these roles all entail separate skillsets and have different career growth. While some folks can go from deal team to ops or IR, doing the vice versa of breaking into deal team from ops is almost unheard of.
