HIG, Audax, and Golden Gate redefine the term sweaty. Some of the few firms I’ve seen where you can just look at LinkedIn and see the sheer number of people there for less than a year before jumping. If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, it’s probably a duck.
I can only confirm for HIG, I wouldn’t go near them as a candidate. As an LP though they do have very good returns and provide decent bang for your buck.

Just had a first round for Boston today - anyone know where in the process they are? I got the invite a couple of days ago so I’m assuming everyone is at the beginning, just am not entirely sure.
Also just had a first round. Seemed like I’d be moving on. They said I’d hear back next week so doesn’t seem like a sprint.
