How do you quickly learn about a new industry / market?

Working at a generalist fund and often gets staffed on projects / industries that I'm not familiar with. Some industries could be quite niche. I can still build models / analyses but am struggling with being able to provide thoughtful comments during internal discussions. It's not an associate's job to do so but I really want to develop that skill.

What are some resources / podcasts that you often use to learn about a new industry / competitive landscape / trends? I often look for market maps / resources from banks / some googling, but curious if there are some helpful resources that I'm not aware of?

Thanks
