How much do IR professionals make at top PE funds?

Currently a third year ECM banker, always wanted to move into PE but unfortunately never had any luck as I was always declined as I had no M&A experience.

One thing I do get contacted a lot by is investor relations at PE funds. This seems to be the only type of roles I get contacted for and I’ve decided I want to move out of IBD.

I wanted to ask how much IR pays at top PE funds? How pay would compare to IBD pay ? What the hours would be like?

Thanks

I heard they can pay as much as the investment professionals but depends on the firm and how robust the IR arm is

He had a damn good response on why IR sucks. I can't find it though. After you read that rant of his, it may make you think twice about a job in IR.
