How sweaty is Centerbridge?

How sweaty is Centerbridge? It seems somewhat top-heavy. Also, can someone describe the firm in more detail and how they work? Seems like they're broken out into credit, RE and PE - interviewing for credit right now but not in an investing role, more of an asset management type role

I have second hand knowledge from friends and a bit of first hand from my own interactions with that firm. Sounds like culture is similair to an EB / APO / MF place in terms of working associates. My data may not be so updated though as my second / first hand data is mainly from 2015-2019 or so. Good luck and best wishes

From what I know of them from 2015-2019ish, the associates were basically in one pool except for RE maybe as more of a separate sleeve. Maybe some associates spend more time in credit compared to PE but figure culture may be similiar to some extent

Secondhand knowledge from close friends who work there currently and have worked there in the past... extremely sweaty. One of my friends has even said to me on multiple occasions, "I miss my banking work-life balance and lifestyle." Seems like you get great reps, learn a ton, and are well-compensated, but pay for that with your time and mental well-being.
