Hull Street Energy

Any insight on Hull Street Energy? Saw they just announced a fund 3 target of $1.5B despite closing fund two just a couple years ago.

Seeing as they were founded by a former ECP partner, might they be the next big infra fund? Seems like they have an interesting quant side to their investing strategy.

Any insight on comp / culture / hours etc?

Either you left a while ago when portfolios were deep in their j curves still or you're dragging Hull just because of your bad experience there. Not saying you're wrong about culture being bad (I haven't ever talked to anyone there) but "horrendous returns" just isn't true. Still early but both of the first two funds are top quartile and 20%+ net - anyone can check Pitchbook themselves to confirm.

Weird comment. Been here a while and never heard anything about any sexual assault. Not that kind of place IMO. Small team. Job is hard but fun. Returns solid.
